About Chris​

Chris Finn is an in-demand empowerment speaker, success coach, author and advocate for people with disabilities. Driven to achieve his childhood dreams while living with quadriplegia, Chris is also a two-time World Champion and the head coach of the US National Power Soccer Team.

Empowerment Speaker and Success Coach

As an empowerment speaker and success coach, Chris uses his powerful journey and impactful You Are Able® movement to help teams and organizations hope, believe and achieve. His motivational presentations reveal the powerful secrets to overcoming any obstacles you encounter.

Chris is adept at helping to create cultures of support that foster hope, belief, inspiration and success. Such a culture creates a ripple effect, not only driving individuals, but ultimately driving the success of your whole team or organization.

World Champion and Head Coach

As the Head Coach of the US National Power Soccer Team, Chris took his players from being ranked near last place to finishing as Champions in Tokyo, Japan at the first-ever Powerchair Football World Cup competition in 2007. He then coached the team in 2011 to make soccer history by being the first US soccer team of any kind (and the third in the world) to repeat as World Cup Championship in Paris, France.

In 2011, Chris was honored by Mayor Stephen Cassidy with his own day in San Leandro, California, the city he currently resides. Also recently, through his involvement in nonprofit organizations locally, nationally, and internationally, Chris was honored as the Disability Community Advocate of the Year for the 20th anniversary of the ADA, as a Nominee for induction into the National Spinal Cord Injury Association Hall of Fame, and as Comcast/ANG Newsgroup’s Hometown Hero.

He has been featured in the Oakland Tribune, Indianapolis Star, Exceptional Parenting magazine, Sports ‘N Spokes, NBC and in Spry magazine as a VIP. Chris’ inspiring story will soon be told in a memoir entitled, You Are Able®. He currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and is in pursuit of coaching what will be the only soccer team in the history of the sport to ever win three World Cup tournaments in a row.
